It shares some characteristics with the Xiaomi Pad 6, but has generally higher specs.

For starters, the processor is the even more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ processsor. You can get more working memory too, with the configuration options being 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The 11-inch screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and has a display resolution of 2880 x 1800, a 144 Hz refresh rate, a 550 nits brightness, Dolby Vision, and support for the 2nd gen Xiaomi digitizer pen with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity.

And like the predecessor, Xiaomi continues to crown the tablet world with the highest resolution tablet camera, as the main rear camera has a f/1.8 50MP resolution camera together with a secondary 2MP depth of field camera. So that can be useful for various productivity tasks, as well as for some serious photography.

On the front, there's another impressive 20MP camera with automatic centering of a person during video calls, similar to the latest iPads, and even the option of real-time translation and subtitles during a conference call.

Audio specs are good too, as it has 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos, High-Res audio, and HD recording with 4 mics.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro battery capacity is 8600 mAh, and supports 67W QC4+ and PD3 fast charging. We're also treated to Wi-Fi 6, BT 5.3, and a USB C 3.2 Gen 1 port.

Sensors on the inside includes an acceleration sensor, gyro, front and rear ambient light sensors, and hall sensor.

The OS is the Android 13 based MIUI for Pad 14 which gives you access to the Google Play app store, and does well in preserving battery and expanding upon the features of Android already.

In addition to the optional digitizer pen, there's also an optional keyboard with the NFC chip that lets user transfer files on the fly, which is a useful feature to introduce.

Compared to the predecessor, Xiaomi's new Pro tablet has shed 25 grams, as it now weighs just 490 grams. It's also among the thinnest tablets of 2023 too, with the thickness being just 6.51mm.

So a very interesting option to either tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 or the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen).

Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro is launching in China on April 21 from 2499 Yuan, though there's no word on when or if the Pro model will launch outside of China just yet. But we'll be sure to write about it if it happens.
