8-Inch Android Lenovo’s A7600 & A5500 Approved

Apart from the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8, Lenovo doesn't have any 8-inch Android tablets. But this is about to change later this year with the introduction of to as-of-yet unannounced 8-inch Android tablets from Lenovo.

For the time being only know as Lenovo A7600 and Lenovo A5500, these tablets underwent government approval procedures in December and are consequently not that far away from launch.

As these tablets remain unannounced, the leaked specs are still very thin. But it seems that the Lenovo A5500 will be an 8-inch Android tablet with a resolution of 1280 x 800, sport a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 8111 processor, and feature a 2MP front camera and a 8MP rear camera.

Nothing have been leaked about the Lenovo A7600 yet, but it is suggested that this tablet too will be an 8-inch Android tablet, thus widening the choice and price categories for Lenovo, just like they are with the two new 7-inch Android tablets due for launch, with the Lenovo A3500 and A3300.

Meanwhile, Lenovo's popular 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet Lenovo Miix 2 have been cut to $249 in Microsoft Store.
