Windows 10 Device Event On October 6 With Microsoft

Microsoft have just announced that they will hold a live Windows 10 device event on October 6 in New York.

But so far they have only teased us, and haven’t said anything more than what you see in the screencap below. The event can be watched live by everyone on microsoft.com/october2015event

So we know the keynote will be about Windows 10 devices but we don’t even know if it’s just Microsoft’s own devices or if Microsoft will show off other companies devices too. The timing seems right for a couple of Microsoft devices that have for a while been expected to be announced in October.

Among Windows 10 tablets, these are first of all the new 12-inch Surface Pro 4, if that’s what it will be called, and possibly another even larger Surface with dimensions between 13 to 14 inches. So we may see two new Surface 4 tablets soon.

Two other Windows 10 devices we believe Microsoft will announce are their first two Windows 10 Mobile devices, along with an announcement of the final release date for the Windows 10 Mobile OS. The Windows 10 phones are the Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 aka Talkman, is a leaked as a 5.2-inch Windows 10 Mobile phone with 2560 x 1440 resolution, OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB storage, a 5MP front camera and a 20MP rear camera, iris scanner, a 3000 mAh battery, wireless charging, and Type-C USB.

The larger Microsoft Lumia 950 XL aka Cityman meanwhile is a leaked as a 5.7-inch Windows 10 Mobile phone with 2560 x 1440 resolution, OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB storage, a 5MP front camera and a 20MP rear camera, iris scanner, a 3300 mAh battery, wireless charging, and Type-C USB too.

So what else can we expect from Microsoft and their Windows 10 device event? I looked into the HTML source code of the invitation web page to see if Microsoft had by chance had a slip up, and I don’t know if it means anything, but among the keywords for that page are the following: “Windows 10 devices, Windows devices, Microsoft Band, Microsoft Surface, Lumia, Live stream, Windows announcement, Windows Phone”

First of all I’m sure a few webmasters and HTML coders can’t believe Microsoft still use meta keywords, but that curiosity aside, the keywords that Microsoft placed in there could indicate that we’ll see an update on the Microsoft Band front too, in addition to Microsoft perhaps suggesting itself that both both new Surface tablets and new Windows 10 Mobile OS phones will see the light of day, along with the final info on the remaining Windows 10 releases.
