"Overall, I was pleased with the tablet's strong points like the sharp display, loud speakers, and long battery life. A few negatives I noticed were the lack of a headphone jack and the fingerprint-prone back. But the Lenovo Tab P12 offers strong specs and features for the price." - Tech Spurt |
User Reviews 2 |
"The Lenovo Tab P12 shines with a sharp, high-res display and booming speakers that provide an excellent entertainment tablet. The pure Android experience, decent performance, fingerprint scanner, and competitive pricing also impress. However, battery life disappoints for the screen size and the stylus lags behind Samsung's. Overall a strong mid-range tablet, but battery and stylus could improve." - My Next Tablet |
User Reviews 3 |
"I noted that the software seems more modern than previous Lenovo tablets. The screen quality also looks good and may surprise people once seen in person. The gaming performance was smooth and enjoyable even though this tablet does not have flagship specs. However, I was disappointed with the below average battery life of only 5 hours in my tests." - FishBee Productions |

Lenovo Unveils Tab P12 Tablet with Sharp 12.7-inch Display and Quad Speakers
Lenovo has released its latest Android tablet, the Tab P12, which stands out with its crisp 12.7-inch display and robust JBL quad speakers.
Retailing for around $350, the tablet offers strong entertainment features and productivity capabilities at an affordable price point.
A Giant Screen Made for Immersion
I found the 3K resolution LTPS display to look extremely sharp, with smaller bezels than typical tablets.
Watching videos on the P12 proves an immersive experience thanks to the 16:10 aspect ratio and 1500:1 contrast ratio that contribute to vibrant colors and deep blacks.
Speakers With Surprising Oomph
Adding to the premium entertainment quality are four JBL speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos technology.
The speakers pump out strong volume with clear mids/highs and surprisingly decent bass given the slim tablet design. The stereo soundstage also impresses for movies and games.
A Sleek Body But Fingerprint Magnet
Despite the giant screen, Lenovo managed to keep thickness down to just 6.9mm and weight to a portable 1.36 lbs.
The dimensional footprint resembles a large book. While sleek, I noticed fingerprints easily smudge the metal backside.
Great For Basics
Powering the tablet is MediaTek’s new Dimensity 7050 chipset with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM.
Performance keeps up with everyday multitasking needs and handles casual 3D games well, but falls short of flagship tablets.
Software runs pure Android 13 for a clean, intuitive experience.
Battery Life Falls Short
Battery life exceeds Lenovo’s 10 hour claim during light web use, but drains fast for gaming. The 10,200 mAh capacity sufficiently powers the tablet for over a day of work before needing a recharge.
30W fast charging refuels to 50% in under an hour.
Optional Keyboard And Pen Accessories
For productivity, Lenovo will sell an optional magnetic keyboard and stylus. The keyboard attaches firmly and types comfortably but lacks backlighting.
The 4096 pressure level stylus supports tilt detection for shading but the experience doesn’t quite match an S Pen.
Value Proposition With Caveats
In conclusion, users wanting an affordable Android tablet with excellent cinematic and audio capabilities should take a look at the new Tab P12.
Lenovo hits the mark for entertainment with the gorgeous display and quad speakers being clear highlights. Just don’t expect buttery smooth 120Hz visuals or gaming dominance from the Dimensity chipset.
For $350, the Lenovo Tab P12 strikes a compelling balance of price versus performance.
