Lenovo Launches Budget-Friendly Tab M9 Tablet
Lenovo has released its latest budget tablet, the Tab M9, packing decent specs and features into an affordable package. Starting at just $140, the aluminum-clad Tab M9 offers a bright 9-inch display, all-day battery life, and ample performance for basic tasks.
Display and Audio Provide Good Entertainment
The Tab M9 won't break any speed records, powered by MediaTek's Helio G80 chip with up to 4GB RAM. But our testing found it handles light gaming and streaming smoothly.
Switching between apps is snappy enough for web browsing and social media. Don't expect to play intensive 3D games though.
Its 9-inch IPS screen delivers good brightness and colors despite the lower 800 x 1340 resolution. Images and videos still look sharp thanks to the compact size. Four speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos surround sound also fill rooms.
Great Battery Life for All-Day Use
We got over 9 hours of uptime from the Tab M9’s 5100 mAh battery. That should cover a full day of web surfing, video watching, and music listening for most users. Standby time is equally strong to keep it alive for days. The tablet recharges quickly over its USB-C port.
Slim, Lightweight Design Easy to Carry
The Tab M9 unfortunately sticks with aging micro-USB and delivers disappointing camera performance. But it ticks all the key boxes buyers want in an affordable tablet. We especially like its lightweight and slimmed-down design at just 8mm thick and 12 oz for easy portability.
Clean Software and Storage Options
Lenovo's near-stock Android 12 OS also provides a smooth user experience. And you can expand the 32GB or 64GB of base storage using the dedicated microSD slot.
Good Value and Performance for the Price
For the price, the Lenovo Tab M9 impresses as a secondary entertainment and browsing tablet for travel and leisure. Battery marathoners and casual users should shortlist it for its quality display, surprising speed, and epic endurance.
Power users may want to consider something beefier. But if affordability tops your list alongside core tablet functionality, the Tab M9 delivers plenty of value.
