Androidpolice Website Launches Nexus 9 Rumor

If you felt like you got lost in all the rumors concerning the next Nexus tablet, whatever its size, then don't worry, we all did.

Now Androidpolice have launched a new rumor. This time it's for a 8.9-inch Nexus Volantis.

We first heard of the possibility of a 8.9-inch Nexus tablet in March, and at that time the source was Digitimes.

This time it's the website Androidpolice that claims that it has an insider that knows what the specs will be.
And these specs include a 2048 x 1440 display, a Tegra K1 processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP rear OIS camera and a 3MP front camera, with a weight of 418 gram. Other than that, this tablet is reportedly made by HTC.

So far it's only the Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 tablet have been launched with a Tegra K1 processor.

Back in November there was another rumor that said LG would make the next Nexus tablet, while in February it was rumored that HTC had won a contract with Google. And then in May we heard of Google experimenting with 3D cameras on tablets.

HTC doesn't currently have any tablets on the market though. The last tablet HTC made was in 2011.
The tablet manufacturers that made the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 for Google were Asus and Samsung.

Google's IO developer get-together is on Wednesday, June 25, so with a bit of luck we might learn something official then.
