A Look At All The Upcoming Samsung Tablets Launching This Fall With Confirmed Details
When Samsung released their three flagship tablets in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 range on July 26, it was actually the first new tablets they had launched this year.
But now that the waterproof high-end tablets have been launched, Samsung still has four more upcoming tablets in the works for launch this year. And they are expected to launch between September and October. And if you want to know more about all the tablets that Samsung has released or is planning to release in the year 2023, you can head up to this post.
The last couple of weeks I've had the opportunity to get a confirmation of the screen size of all of these new Samsung tablets, using Samsung's own descriptions, which is worth a look.
The first two tablets in the Galaxy Tab A9 range are the entry level tablets.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 is the new 8.7-inch Android 13 tablet with the much needed upgrade to a MediaTek G99 processor.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is the larger 10.95-inch Full HD tablet with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor and optional 5G.
And then we have the Galaxy Tab S9 FE (Fan Edition) tablets, where both the specs and the price are in the middle between the entry level and top-end level tablets, and with optional 5G.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is a 10.9-inch tablet with a Samsung Exynos 1380 processor.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ is a larger 12.4-inch tablet with the same Samsung Exynos 1380 processor.
The result after the launch of all these new Samsung tablets, is that if we included the Tab S9 tablets, Samsung will have two 12.4-inch tablets, and as much as three tablets in the 11-inch range.
With the two 12.4-inch tablets, Samsung can re-use the keyboard and some of the other accessories between the 12.4-inch Tab S9+ and Tab S9 FE+. This has already the practice for years between the Tab S8+ and the Tab S7 FE.
The question is if Samsung will do the same for the three tablets in the 11-inch range. Because that would be exciting.
Not all accessories would not be compatible, since the tablets have different thicknesses, but some of the many accessories for Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 that were released, like the privacy screen and paper screen filter, and even some of the keyboards, will fit.
And also keep in mind that the description of the size in inches by tablet brands is always just a round off. By using the metric system, we know that the dimensions used in marketing material is always a little off. For instance, the precise size of the 11-inch screen on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, is actually 10.948 inches.
So in practical terms, we are going to have three 11-inch Samsung tablets on the market very soon. And hopefully with a large range of accessories to go with them and the other new tablets.
