Xiaomi is developing a new high-end tablet, the Pad 7 Pro, that promises remarkable speed.
According to GSMChina, Xiaomi’s upcoming tablet will pack a huge 10,000mAh battery and support blistering 120W charging.
GSMChina revealed the details after further analyzing Xiaomi’s own code. The Pad 7 Pro’s massive battery should deliver extremely long runtimes per charge. And when you do need to refuel, 120W fast charging will have you back up in no time.
Previously, leaks indicated the Pad 7 Pro is codenamed “Sheng” with model number N81A.
It will downgrade to a 10-inch screen from the Pad 6 Pro’s 11 inches, but the smaller LCD panel made by Tianma will feature a sharp 1440×2367 resolution and buttery smooth 144Hz refresh rate.
Powering the tablet is Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, promising performance leaps over the last gen’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Xiaomi wants the Pad 7 Pro to be a portable workhorse.
Around back, a dual camera with main shooter and depth sensor handles photography. Up front, an upgraded selfie cam improves video calls. The Pad 7 Pro also boasts four speakers with Dolby audio for entertainment.
On the software side, MIUI 14 based on Android 14 comes pre-installed out of the box. Unfortunately, like its predecessor, the Pad 7 Pro may remain a China exclusive. Global fans will likely see a more affordable Xiaomi Pad 7 instead.
Rumors point to an April 2024 launch alongside Xiaomi’s upcoming 14 Ultra smartphone. Key details remain under wraps, but early leaks indicate the Pad 7 Pro packs some seriously impressive specs.
