It has the exact same screen size as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+, but is $400 cheaper while still offering many of the same opportunities for productivity and getting things done, due to the combination of specs, digitizer pen, and optional keyboards. You should also consider viewing Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE benchmark scores before you move forward to the actual buying process.
The 12.4-inch LCD display has a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a 90 Hz refresh rate, and supports the included Samsung S Pen with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and several included pen apps.
Both the tablet and the pen has an IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating, so there's no reason not to really put these tablets to use in harsh outdoor environments. If you are unfamiliar with this pen system, it is a wirelessly charging pen that can be attached magnetically to the tablet, where it charges very quickly.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ is powered by the 2.4 GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 1380 processor, and has model options of either 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for $599, or 12GB RAM with 256GB storage for $699 for the Wi-Fi models, plus there's a 5G cellular version too for $100 more.
So if you combine any of these models with one of the two optional keyboards, you get a very productive 2-in-1 Android tablet with just enough screen space where you can start to do serious work and studies. The keyboard cover has a kickstand on the back and one of the Samsung keyboards has a trackpad. Though you can always use a mouse too with Android tablets. Get a wireless Bluetooth mouse, and you don't even need a USB dongle to connect it with.
There's a high resolution 12MP ultra-wide front camera on the Tab S9 FE+ that due to its large resolution camera sensor maintains a clear image of a user even when walking around during a video call. On the back, it has one ordinary 8MP camera for portraits and zooming in a little, and another 8MP ultra-wide angle camera for capturing cityscapes and panoramic scenery easily.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ battery life is rated to a very impressive 20 hours long! Which is currently the longest battery life on any normal tablet PC. This is achieved through a combination of an economical screen, a battery frugal Exynos chipset, and a 10,090 mAh battery capacity, which can be charged with QC2.0 Super Fast Charging in just 90 minutes, which is another record for a tablet in 2023.
After all, it doesn't matter how good a tablet is if it doesn't have a good battery life, so having this long a battery life makes a huge difference in practice. It probably makes this the best tablet computer to bring with you on holidays, when you don't want to stress about remaining battery power. You just want to be able to pull it out and be able to use the tablet at any time you need to.
The other specs for Samsung's Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ includes stereo AKG speakers with Dolby Atmos, dual-band a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB-C port 2.0, a microSD card slot with support for memory cards up to 1TB in capacity, facial recognition camera support, and a fingerprint reader.
Official Samsung accessories includes a keyboard with a trackpad and a smaller one without, a combined vertical/horizontal origami type cover, an outdoor cover, and a special S Pen Creator Edition stylus.
We even have four color choices to chose from too, which includes two delicate colored pink and mint versions, in addition to the normal gray and silver versions. The 5G model is only available in gray though.
This is also a relatively light tablet for its size, since the weight is 627 grams. And like all higher end Samsung tablets it is properly thin, with a thickness of just 6.5mm.
And since Samsung's S9 FE tablets (Fan Edition), comes with the S Pen included, Samsung have packed the tablets with many different pen apps and features.
This also includes some third party apps and subscriptions like free Goodnotes and Goodnotes Pro for 1 year, or 6 months of Clip Studio Paint. The benefit of all this is that people get to try and become familiar with many of the most used pen apps for free, before they make a decision on whether or not that particular app suits their needs.
