Reviews

User Reviews 1 User Reviews I felt starting on this tablet is more convenient than a drawing tablet for beginners wanting to learn to draw. It's very intuitive to use and I would recommend it as a good starting point before upgrading to something more advanced.

User Reviews 2 I found the tablet to have a really premium look and feel despite being more affordable than the Tab S9 Ultra. The display looks smooth with its 90Hz refresh rate enabled out of the box. The fingerprint scanner built into the power button works quickly to unlock the device. Having the S Pen included is really useful for taking notes or sketching on the go.

User Reviews 3 I found the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus to be an attractively priced tablet option. The size is very manageable for one-handed use. I've been utilizing Samsung DeX frequently which allows for a laptop-like experience when paired with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Performance from the Exynos 1380 chip has been sufficient for productivity apps and multitasking. Switching between multiple open apps is very quick.

Our Rating

The overall rating is based on review by our dedicated team and users.

7.5
  • Performance 7 / 10
  • Display 7 / 10
  • Battery 8 / 10
  • Design 8 / 10

Samsung has released an impressive new tablet that delivers premium features at a more affordable price point. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ packs great performance, battery life, build quality and stylus support into a slim and lightweight Android slate.

Powered by an Exynos 1380 octa-core chip, the Tab S9 FE+ runs smoothly whether working in apps, browsing the web or hopping between multiple tasks. While occasional minor stutters were noticed, overall multitasking capabilities shine thanks to 8GB RAM. The tablet responds quickly when launching apps or switching between open ones.

The 12.4” LCD display looks sharp with its 1600×2560 resolution. Visuals appear fairly crisp and detailed.

A smooth 90Hz refresh rate allows for fluid scrolling and animations. The screen maximizes front real estate with slim bezels around the display.

Long Endurance Battery Life

One major highlight is extraordinary endurance from the large 10090mAh battery. It keeps going for over 7 hours on a single full charge. You can rely on the Tab S9 FE+ to last multiple days with lighter use. When powered off, battery standby time is equally impressive.

Waterproof, Premium Design

Constructed out of sturdy aluminum with glass front, the tablet has a premium look and feels comfortable to hold its hand. While a bit heavier than some competitors at 1.4 pounds, the device remains easy to manage with one hand. Size is optimal for portability when traveling or using on the couch.

Meeting IP68 rating requirements, the Tab S9 FE+ resists dust ingress and survives submersion in nearly 5 feet of water for 30 minutes. You don’t have to worry about accidental spills damaging the tablet.

Smooth S Pen Stylus Experience

Samsung includes its responsive S Pen stylus for free, neatly stored inside the tablet body. Great pressure sensitivity enables drawing natural-looking strokes that widen or thin out based on pen pressure.

Lag-free performance makes the stylus ideal for artists, note-takers and more.

Capable Cameras, Immersive Sound

An 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls nicely. Around back, dual 8MP and 12MP shooters capture sharp photos and 4K video. Four AKG-tuned speakers immerse you in loud, clear audio with stereo separation.

One UI Software Customizations

Samsung’s One UI software skin runs atop Android 13, bringing handy customizations. Highlights include an enhanced dark mode, Edge panels for quickly launching favorite apps, Bixby voice assistant integration and more. The tablet promises at least one future OS upgrade to Android 14.

Room for Improvements

A couple notable limitations were noticed during testing. The fingerprint reader proves somewhat inconsistent at times, failing to unlock the device smoothly. Display brightness tops out lower than premium OLED panels can achieve.

The feature-packed Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ is an excellent value for this class of tablet. With its long battery life, premium metal design, included S Pen and gorgeous display all packed into a slim slate, it deserves strong consideration.
