Performance is decent thanks to the clean Android OS, though only having 2GB RAM. I was able to play games smoothly. The build quality feels solid and it has a nice design. The cameras are not amazing but work fine for basic shots to send to friends. - Avishek Das |

The tablet should be decent but is lower-end, more comparable to an Amazon Fire tablet than an iPad. I'm unsure if the tablet comes with a separate SIM card and data plan or if it uses the phone's hotspot. - Kevin Breeze |
User Reviews 3 |
The speakers sounded decent, with audio coming from the front. The cameras are only 5MP though so I can't recommend this tablet if good cameras are important. I didn't experience any issues with loud sounds or screen interruptions that some Amazon reviews mentioned related to the SIM card. - Helios |

Chinese manufacturer ZTE recently released the Zpad 8, an affordable 8-inch Android tablet. The tablet offers solid performance and battery life given its low cost.
Sporting a quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, the Zpad 8 handles everyday tasks smoothly.
The clean installation of Android 7.0 helps performance. Users report playing 3D games without lag or stuttering.
The tablet lasts over 4 days of mixed usage thanks to its 4620mAh battery.
The Zpad 8 comes equipped with an 8-inch IPS LCD display at 1280×800 resolution.
While not incredibly sharp at 189 pixels-per-inch, the screen reproduces colors well. Wide viewing angles prevent washing out at off-center angles.
A single 5MP rear camera captures decent shots to share with friends. Don't expect stellar image quality, but the camera suits basic photography. It records 720p video too. The 2MP front-facing camera works fine for video calls.
With dimensions of 8.5 by 5 inches and a weight of 11.6 ounces, the Zpad 8 offers easy portability.
Its plastic body feels solid and sturdy. The tablet includes Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB 2.0 support.
A micro SD card slot allows expanding the included 8GB of storage up to 128GB.
ZTE's Zpad 8 punches above its weight class. The capable performance and excellent battery life outshine pricier competitors like the Amazon Fire HD 8.
Sure, the cameras and design leave room for improvement. But for casual users wanting an affordable multimedia device, the Zpad 8 delivers.
We hope ZTE expands availability beyond US Cellular. Given the price and capabilities, this little tablet deserves wider release.
