User Reviews 2 The screen was good but had some light bleed issues. Speakers were average and not very loud. Performance was smooth thanks to the Snapdragon 800 chip. Battery life was decent at 8+ hours.

User Reviews 3 The Snapdragon 800 chip is a couple years old now, so it's more mid-range, not high-end. Build quality seems okay but quite plasticky and attracts fingerprints. It runs the latest Android 5.1 software with LG's customizations like multi-window multitasking.

LG recently released a new 10.1-inch tablet that offers strong performance and features.

After testing the device, it earns high marks for its storage capacity, software, multitasking abilities, and overall value.

The tablet contains a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM, allowing it to run smoothly.

It ships with Android 5.1 software that includes LG's customizations like split-screen multitasking.

One reviewer took advantage of the dual window mode to watch videos while also checking emails.

One major highlight is the internal storage. The base model contains 16GB of memory and allows expansion up to 2TB with a microSD card. This huge capacity lets owners store massive media libraries offline.

LG outfitted the tablet with capable cameras, including a 5MP rear shooter and 2MP front-facing lens.

Users can apply special effects like film filters to add style to their photos.

Shooting modes like burst shots, interval shots, and auto selfies cater to different use cases.

While testing revealed a few downsides, none significantly detract from the value. The plastic construction feels a bit cheap and attracts fingerprints.

Screen quality fails to impress, with some backlight bleeding noticed on test units. Audio from the single speaker fails to impress in loudness or fullness.

In summary, LG checks all the major boxes with its latest tablet. The excellent software and multitasking features pairs nicely with ample storage capacity.

Though the hardware leaves some room from improvement from a premium standpoint, it all comes together into a pleasing and affordable package for media consumption.

Shoppers looking for a device to watch videos, play games, and surf the web will find excellent capabilities at this sub-$300 price point.
