LG recently released the G Pad X 10.1, a powerful yet affordable Android tablet.

After testing the device for a week, it's clear the G Pad X delivers smooth performance and ample features given its budget-friendly price point.

The G Pad impresses with its slick 10.1-inch full HD screen, quad-core 2.26GHz Snapdragon processor, and 2GB of RAM.

Apps launch rapidly and run lag-free, even when multitasking.

The tablet handles graphics-intensive games smoothly, save for some crashing in one title.

LG packed an ample 7,400mAh battery that lasts all day even with heavy use.

Connecting accessories and moving files is a breeze with microSD expansion, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth 4.1

The G Pad taps into speedy 802.11ac Wi-Fi and includes GPS for location services.

LG loaded its useful software features like multi-window, QuickMemo+ note taking, and QSlide overlays.

The G Pad's 8MP rear camera and 2MP front shooter capture decent, if not mind-blowing, photos and 1080p video.

While the plastic body feels cheap, an inexpensive case solves this minor gripe.

Of course, slimmer options like the iPad Air offer sleeker designs and better build quality.

But for the price, the G Pad X 10.1 succeeds as a media consumption and productivity machine.

The sharp display and booming speakers provide an immersive video and gaming experience at home or on the go.

Long battery life means you can browse the web, write emails, or tap into apps all day without worrying about recharging.

And extras like multi-window multitasking increase efficiency when working on documents or writing papers for school.

In the budget tablet arena, LG's latest entry delivers performance that meets, if not exceeds, rival devices.

The G Pad X 10.1 warrants consideration for anyone seeking a capable Android slate with ample power and features without breaking the bank.

Just don't expect the polished fit and finish of pricier iPads or Samsung's high-end Galaxy Tabs.
