SIM SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) is a small card that contains mobile network subscriber's account information. This allows the phone using the card to attach to a mobile network. The SIM card is most commonly associated with GSM and UMTS mobile networks. Moving a SIM card from one phone to another allows a subscriber to switch mobile phones without having to contact their mobile network carrier. SIM cards can also be used by a phone to store limited amounts of data, such as phone numbers and text messages. | MicroSD, microSDHC, microSDXC |

CPU | Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 |
GPU GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is a single-chip processor designed to rapidly manipulate and alter memory to accelerate the creation of images in a frame buffer intended for output to a display, This includes things such as lighting effects, object transformations, and 3D motion. | Mali-T720MP2 |
RAM RAM (Random Access Memory) is a type of computer memory that can be accessed randomly, any byte of memory can be accessed without touching the preceding bytes that allows information to be stored and accessed quickly from random locations. RAM is the most common type of memory found in computer systems, smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices. | 2GB |

Capacity Battery Capacity is a measure (typically in Amp-hr) of the charge stored by the battery, and is determined by the mass of active material contained in the battery. The battery capacity represents the maximum amount of energy that can be extracted from the battery under certain conditions. | 3,500 mAh |
Battery Life | 7 hours |
Charging | 5V/1A AC adapter |
Rear Camera Camera is able to capture photographs and usually videos, The most important characteristics of a camera are the resolution (measured in megapixels), lens focus type (fixed or automatic), higher megapixel cameras are known to capture higher quality photos, but not always a good measurement of the photos quality. | 5 MP |
Front Camera | 2 MP |
Image | 2592 x 1944 Pixels |
Video | 720p@30fps |
Camera Features | Auto Focus |
Flash Flash Light => There is commonly two types of flash lights are used in camera mobile phones, LED Flash (LED flash offers lower power consumption with drive circuitry that takes up very little room, LEDs can be strobed faster than any other light source), Xenon Flash (xenon flash produces an extremely intense full-spectrum white light for a very short duration) | No |
Bluetooth Bluetooth is a wireless communications technology for exchanging data between mobile phones, headsets, computers and other network devices over short distances without wires, Bluetooth technology was primarily designed to support simple wireless networking of personal consumer devices. | 4.0 |
Wi-fi Wi-Fi is a popular wireless networking technology using radio waves to provide high-speed network connections that allows devices to communicate without cords or cables, Wi-Fi is increasingly becoming the preferred mode of internet connectivity all over the world. | Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct |

I found that while the build quality and display are decent considering the low price point, the performance is too slow to recommend for most people. The benchmarks show the speeds are better than the previous model, but real world use results in a lot of lagging, crashing, and waiting even between simple apps. - My Next Tablet |

I unboxed and reviewed the Lenovo Tab 7 Essential tablet. I found the build quality to be decent but with a plastic body. The screen size is 7 inches as expected. The rear camera takes low quality photos without much detail. The front camera is 2 megapixels. - COCA TECH DC |

Gaming graphics and performance are also quite lacking, only able to handle simpler games with low graphics settings. There is noticeable lag when playing games. The front and rear cameras are just 2 megapixels each, producing poor quality photos. In my experience, the tablet can handle basic functions but lacks power for gaming, multitasking or more demanding apps. - BadEnglishReview |

Pros: - Decent build quality and display considering the low price - Nearly stock Android software Cons: - Mediocre benchmark scores showing limitations of the MediaTek processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB storage - Poor rear and front cameras with only 2 megapixels each - Small battery capacity of 3450 mAh |
The overall rating is based on review by our dedicated team and users.
Lenovo released the Lenovo Tab 7. This inexpensive option features a decent build quality and display considering the low cost.
However, my testing revealed significant performance issues that make the tablet difficult to recommend.
The Tab 7 Essential runs nearly stock Android software instead of a heavy manufacturer skin.
This leads to a clean, easy to use interface. The plastic body feels solidly built, and the 7-inch screen looks sharp for the price.
Storage and memory specs also meet expectations for budget tablets, with 16GB storage and 1GB RAM.
While benchmarks show the MediaTek processor and specs are an improvement over the previous model, real-world use results in constant frustrating lagging.
Even simple apps crash frequently or take a long time to load. Forget about smooth gaming or multitasking – the Tab 7 Essential struggles with basic functions.
Opening apps, switching between apps, and launching the camera all lead to long wait times.
Games are playable at lowest settings, but gameplay suffers from stuttering graphics and input lag.
Using more than one app at once brings the tablet to a crawl.
The rear and front cameras both offer just 2 megapixels, producing pixelated, low-quality photos without good detail.
Battery life is also disappointing, with the small 3450 mAh capacity lasting less than a day.
The Lenovo Tab 7 Essential offers a solid value based on the build quality, screen and software.
But I cannot recommend purchasing it for all but the most basic light tasks, as performance is far too sluggish for a good experience.
