Microsoft Surface Pro 4G LTE Advanced For Consumers Taking Pre-Orders – Release May 1

Microsoft Surface Pro LTE Advanced for consumers has finally started taking pre-orders in an announcement from Microsoft, who says that the Microsoft Surface Pro LTE Advanced release date is May 1, 2018 in USA: microsoft.com/en-us/store/d/surface-pro/ProLTEpreorder

As many of you will recall, Microsoft Surface Pro LTE Advanced first became available for the enterprise sector at the end of December last year, so it has only been the Wi-Fi version of Microsoft Surface Pro that has been avilable on the consumer market so far.

The Surface Pro with LTE Advanced is the Intel Core i5 model (i5-7300U) model, with 256GB of SSD storage and 8GB of RAM or 128GB of SSD storage and 4GB of RAM. This 4G LTE Windows 10 Pro tablet can achieve such Geekbench 4 benchmark scores as around 3180 in single core, and 6400 in multi core scores. The price of the 4G LTE Surface Pro is $1449 and $1149.

The extra specs that owners of the 4G LTE Advanced model gets, is the 4G LTE CAT modem with 450 Mbps speeds with both a nano-SIM tray for your own SIM card from your own carrier, and an embedded eSIM card where you can buy or top up on data packages or data pass from basically anywhere in the world, without having any cellular or data subscription.

So the eSIM feature is clever both during travels and in a pinch as well. LTE bands covered on this tablet includes bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 19, 20, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, and 41.

And just like on an iPad, the 4G LTE brings the navigation sensors GPS, GLONASS and Assisted GNS with it as well. Microsoft Surface Pro LTE Advanced will only be avilable from the Microsoft Store.
