Lenovo TAB3 7 Basic (710F/I) Android Budget Tablets Leaks With Specs
I've discovered a new unannounced 7-inch Android budget tablet on our way from Lenovo, using the new model name Lenovo TAB3 7 Basic (models TB3-710F/I).
The leaks come from FCC where the approval filings have leaked most of the main specs. And the upcoming Lenovo TAB3 7 Basic is a budget tablet for sure. Lenovo already have tablets in this space, like the $79 Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30. So is Lenovo is prepping a tablet to compete with the Amazon Fire in the $49 price category, or is it just to facilitate a new Android version?
The Lenovo TAB3 7 Basic is being produced in two iterations, both as a Wi-Fi only model (Lenovo TAB3 7 TB3-710F) and as a 3G model (Lenovo TAB3 7 TB3-710I), with a quad-core MediaTek MT8127 processor powering the Wi-Fi model, and a MediaTek MT8321 processor powering the 3G model.

Lenovo TAB3 7 Basic has 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 8GB / 16GB storage (Toshiba/Samsung eMMC), a 7-inch screen with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 0.3MP front camera, a 2MP rear camera, a 13.1 Wh / 3450 mAh battery, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, mic and speakers, as well as a microSD card slot, a micro-USB port, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack.
We'll have to wait and see what Android version it will launch with, but the last day of testing was October 9, so this tablet is pretty fresh out of the oven right now.
Lenovo TAB3 7 Basic is more or less identical to the current Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30, a tablet that was launched in April and has Dolby speakers. It currently costs around $79, so I don't imagine that the Lenovo TAB3 7 Basic will cost more than that, especially since it has the same specs as the $49 Amazon Fire.
