Huawei MatePad 10.8 Announced Today – Launch August 13
Huawei MatePad 10.8 was announced in China today in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite price range, which means a starting price from just under $349.
Despite the name and size of Huawei's newest tablet, it's not too related to the Huawei MatePad Pro. Instead, this tablet is more of an upgraded successor to the Huawei MediaPad M6 10.8, a tablet that was launched in June last year.
The specs are good, with a Kirin 990 processor and Mali-G76 GPU at the core of it, supported by 6GB of RAM, and storage options ranging from 64GB to 128GB or 256GB.

The 10.8-inch screen has a display resolution of 2560 x 1600, while other specification highlights includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, a 8MP front camera and 13MP rear camera with LED, and Harman/Kardon Histen 6.1 audio, all of which runs the Android 10 based EMUI 10.1 OS.
Huawei MatePad 10.8 sports the same 7500 mAh battery as the M6 tablet, and has dimensions of 7.2mm in thickness and a weight of 500 grams.
Color options are white with champagne gold back, or black with a grey back.
Compatible with the M-Pencil, Huawei emphasize that this digitizer friendly tablet should be handy for the specially designed Nebo app in particular. Another accessory includes a keyboard cover.
Not bad specs for a mid-range tablet that isn't even Huawei's flagship tablet.
