HP Stream 8 Signature Edition Available – Release Imminent
The very popular HP Stream 8 began taking pre-orders two weeks ago, and the first customers of this cheap Windows 8.1 tablet are just waiting for it to be delivered to them. Thankfully it now seems that release is imminent: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/HP-Stream-8
(UPDATED: This HP Stream 8 Signature Edition was released on November 16 in the US.)
Because today the HP Stream 8 Signature Edition (comes without trialware of often annoying freebies) was made available from Microsoft Store too as you may see in the link above, and it looks like it will start shipping on Sunday, November 16. So let's cross our fingers for that date, since I know how many people have ordered this 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet with 4G LTE and 200 MB of free data every month.
When I contacted HP today they could not provide me with an accurate date and instead said:
“I am sorry to inform you that we do not have information as to when this particular product will be available… …however, I do recommend that you visit our website regularly to check for availability since shipments of our products are received daily.”
The HP 7 Stream began taking pre-orders the same day as the HP Stream 8, but the slightly smaller tablet started shipping on November 7. Since then it has won nothing but praise from its owners.
