Honor MagicPad 13 Presented – 13-Inch Flagship Tablet

Huawei's subsidiary Honor presented the Honor MagiPad 13 today, another Honor flagship tablet, but this time at 13 inches.

It is launching in China first from 2999 Yuan and up, or 2899 Yuan for those who preorder it. It launches with the Android 13 based MagicOS 7.2.

The main hardware consists of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processors, with configuration options of 8GB RAM/256GB storage, 12GB RAM/256GB storage, or 16GB RAM/512GB storage.

There are also color choices of blue, gray, and white, as well as an optional keyboard and Magic Pencil 3 digitizer pen with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The gray tablet version has a metal design and weighs 660 grams, but the other two are made with PU materials and weighs 673 grams, with the thickness being 6.49mm on the former, and 6.84mm on the latter.

The 13-inch large screen is an LCD panel with a display resolution of 2880 x 1840, with a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a good 700 nits brightness. It's also the second IMAX Enhanced tablet computer in the world after the Honor Pad V8 Pro.

Another large specs set are the 8 speakers and 4 mics, so there's nothing to complain about there.

The battery is pretty good too, with a 10,050 mAh capacity and 66W charging. But then again, this is a 13-inch tablet with a high resolution display, so it will need some battery too, despite the effective battery management. So that gives us a battery life of 10 hours. It also supports reverse charging to other devices at 1A.

The rear design is unique, but it only has one rear camera at 13MP. On the front, the Magicpad has a 9MP camera.

Other Honor MagicPad 13 specs includes Wi-Fi 6, BT 5.2, a hall sensor and accelerometer, and a USB C 3.2 Gen 1 port.

So these are good specs for a tablet in the sub $450 range. Now we just need for the tablet to launch outside of China too.
