Honor Pad V8 Pro – A 12.1-Inch Flagship Tablet And First IMAX Enhanced Tablet

So the Honor Pad V8 Pro vas unveiled during Christmas and will be launching in China first from 2500 Yuan and upwards.

Honor Pad V8 Pro is a 12.1-inch flagship type of tablet. The 12.1-inch screen has a 2560 x 1600 resolution display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, and naturally both digitizer support for the Magic-Pencil 3 with 4096 pressure levels and an optional keyboard.

It’s uniquely fitted with the 5nm octa-core 2.85 GHz MediaTek 8100 chipset, with options of either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage.

As we mentioned before the launch, this is the first IMAX Enhanced tablet to date, but it features DTS X and Hi-Res Audio too, which is also what I expect from a tablet with 8 speakers.

The operating system for the Honor tablet is the Android 12 based MagicOS 7.0 which adds a couple of features.

Not all the specs are over the top though. It has a set of 5MP front and 13MP rear cameras, but nothing more than that. Which is probably still enough for just about everyone anyway, so I don’t see anything wrong with that even if some flagship tablets feature even more cameras these days.

But it does have dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and a 10,050 mAh battery capacity with 35W charging and a 12 hour battery life. Also on board are BT 5.2, and a USB C port,

The weight is 589 grams, while the thickness is just 6.64mm, so those are good figures for a tablet over 12 inches.

Color options are grey, blue, and orange.

We’ll let you know if this tablet will launch outside of China any time soon, like some of the other Honor tablets have.
