Benchmark Comparison Of Lenovo Tab Max vs Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra

With the current ongoing release of the large 14.5-inch Lenovo Tab Extreme in United States, it's time for the inevitable comparison to the main rival Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.

Both are at about the same screen size, and both tablets are large enough to be used as Android laptops, and they both feature keyboards and digitizer pens to enhance those purposes too.

Both tablets have flagship specs, including OLED displays. So with regards to the overall specs, this is down to the intended usage and preferences, though they have more in common than sets them apart.

The camera notch on the screen of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has always been something of a controversy to some people, so at least Lenovo doesn't face that issue, since the large display is notch free.

They also both run Android 13 today, and will get future Android updates too.

What really sets them apart though are the processors, with Lenovo having a bit of an edge with the not new 3.05 GHz MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset.

Multi-Core 3700 4300

Both are clearly powerful and fast Android tablets, but if we go by a benchmark comparison, seen here with rounded off averages, then Lenovo and MediaTek wins this round against the 3.0 GHz Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

In Geekbench 6.0.3, when I judge both tablets from their average scores when benchmark tested efficiently, Samsung holds up well in single-core tests, and performs just about identically.

But it's beaten in multi-core tests by a noticeable margin, which is basically also the kind of performance upgrade you want over time, when we consider it against the “age” of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
