14-Inch Tablet Xiaomi Pad 6 Max 14 Unveiled Today With 50MP Camera And 8 Speakers
Xiaomi has just finished unveiling the largest tablet they have ever made, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max 14. This is a 14-inch Android 13 based MIUI Pad 14 tablet that's launching from 3599 Yuan in China first next week:

It's also the third tablet in Xiaomi's Pad 6 family, which is joined by Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro. This means that a lot of the specs are of the same caliber.
The screen is a 14-inch LCD screen with a 2.8K resolution of 2880 x 1800, featuring a 120 Hz refresh rate, 600 nits brightness, HDR 10, DCI-P3, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Power comes from a 3.2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, with options of 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB LPDDR5x RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB UFS 3.1 storage.
So with this kind of power, it's possible to use the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max 14 as a productivity tablet for many power demanding tasks, from video editing and media mixing, doing large scale video conferences calls, to do research on a large split-screen tablet in one window, and create content in the other window.
So naturally there's both a keyboard and a pen for such a large tablet.
But it can do more too. Similar the the smaller Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, the Max 14 also has a 50MP rear camera. And this is the real optical resolution of it too, and not an interpolated resolution. So that ensures crisp pictures with lots of details, even when taking pictures of documents in low light. And it supports 4K video recording at 60 fps.
With a 20MP front camera, we can't complain about that either. This is also one of just a handful of tablets with 8 speakers, and even 4 mics, so we get Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, Hi Res and Hi Res Wireless audio, and noise reduction.
Tablet sensors inside of Max includes an acceleration sensor, gyro, front and rear ambient light sensors, hall sensor, ToF sensor, geomagnetic sensor, status indicator, and a Z-axis linear motor.

There's also a fingerprint reader on the side and a USB C 3.2 G1 port. Battery capacity is 10,000 mAh, with 67W charging and support for QC4+ and PD3.0 fast charge protocols.
Wireless bandwidth and speed are at the level of dual-band Wi-Fi 6, as well as Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC.
It's actually light for a tablet this size, at 750 grams. And like a lot of large tablets, it's thin too, with a thickness of just 6.53mm.
And there are color options of either grey or silver for the back and sides of the tablet.
The keyboard cover has a trackpad, and can be used wirelessly even when it's detached from the tablet. The same cover also adds a rear kickstand for the tablet.
The stylus pen has double the ordinary sensitivity level for top of the line consumer tablet, as it has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
So overall a very productive large tablet that can be used as a Android laptop. It's not as fast and powerful as the class leading 14.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, but it has a different mix of specs that may suit some folks better.
The other Xiaomi Pad 6 Max 14 alternative is the Lenovo Tab Extreme, another large screen tablet with 8 speakers.
But then again, these are all flagship tablets, with the best that tablet manufacturers have to offer in 2023. So they all have legendary specifications that gives tablet buyers what they want.
