The Windows 10 operated Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 12.5 is on sale until Sunday, May 21, for a record low price of $489 without a coupon, or $479 with the coupon “GOLDXM”:
The coupon code is added during checkout, which will then change the price before customers finish their order.
The sale is only for the champagne gold colored edition of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 12.5 shipping from Hong Kong. But it will ship anywhere in the world.
Some of our readers may recall that the only thing I didn’t like about the Xiaomi Notebook Air notebooks, have been the normal price, so with the sale this weekend, my only complaint is gone.
Customer satisfaction is also unusually high for this 12.5-inch Windows 10 laptop for a reason. The execution of it is good. It weighs 1070 grams, is powered by a 2.2 GHz Intel Core m3-6Y30 processor with Intel HD Graphics 515 graphics processor, has 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM (1866 MHz), and 128GB of SSD storage with expandable SSD storage too. So it can support 3 displays should you want to add external displays/monitors.
An effective and stable firmware along with a 37W 4-cell battery originally gave the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 12.5 a battery life of 9.5 hours measured by the same standard as tablets. With the recent rollout of the Windows 10 Creators Update, this battery life should be even longer after the update.
Charging is very quick, as the fast charge support enables 50% charge in just 30 minutes!
The all-important ports includes a USB Type-C port, a full-size USB 3.0 port, a full-size HDMI port, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. Not even the Surface Pro 4 has a USB Type-C port, to the annoyance of a great deal of people.
The sharp 12.5-inch screen has a Full HD 1920 x 1080 display resolution, is fully laminated, with a tough edge-to-edge glass cover and 5.7 mm slim bezels, so that it’s sure to look great. The audio is good, with two 1 Watt stereo speakers custom made by AKG and enhanced with Dolby Advanced Audio. So it has both stereo speakers and support for surround sound effects in speakers as well as in headphones.
It has a 1280 x 720 resolution front camera for video chats and digital microphone array.
Attention to detail can also be found in the backlit keyboard with individually backlit keys, the 12.9mm thickness of the full metal body, and precision glass trackpad/touchpad with support for multi-finger gestures.
Wi-Fi is of course complete, with 2×2 dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi cover, as well as Bluetooth 4.1. So both the download and upload speeds are great, and the Wi-Fi range is great too.
