These new portable monitors are in the ViewSonic VX16 series and consists of three different portable monitors at 15.6 inches with high specs.
The main one is the VX1655-4K-OLED which is launching this week for a price of $499.
Specifications are good, as it features a glossy OLED display with a 4K UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 and the selling point of 100% DCI-P3 gamut coverage.
Other specs includes a 1ms response time, 400 nits brightness, a 60Hz refresh rate, integrated stereo speakers, a HDMI port, and 2x USB-C ports.
Power consumption ranges from 0.5W in stand-by mode, to 25W in max brightness or 19W in Eco Mode.
But in addition to the OLED model, ViewSonic is also launching the lower end editions with the model number VX1655-4K which still features 4K resolution but lacks an OLED display, as well as a Full HD resolution edition with the model number VX1655.
A very useful feature of the ViewSonic VX16 series, is that these portable monitors actually feature a built-in kickstand on the back where the ports are, so that they don't have to use the cover as a stand, unlike the traditional old portable monitors.
This may be one of the reasons why they won an IFA 2023 design award last week.
