Timeline On Samsung’s Foldable Tablets – Q1 2019 Unveiling Now Expected
A new purported timeline for Samung's foldable tablets have been put together in a news piece by The Bell (via PhoneArena) in South Korea.
It says that the blueprint for mass production of some of the parts have already been drawn up, and that these parts are expected to go into production in November. The suppliers have said that since the production is set to start in November, then the product, the foldable tablet, will most likely be launched at the start of 2019.
As before, we are once again being told that the final design has not been decided yet, but that it probably will be decided in June 2018. Also, the production volume is expected to be small.
As for specs, we are also told once again that the foldable Samsung tablet that was shown by Samsung to a few insiders early in 2018, was a 3-screen foldable tablet, with one 3.5-inch OLED display on the phone side, and two 3.5-inch OLED displays on the unfolded tablet side that would combine to make a 7-inch screen.
We should keep in mind that thepossibility of two differently sized foldable tablets from Samsung have been mentioned before too, so another foldable tablet phone one could be larger than this one. But it still remains to be seen what dimensions and features Samsung will pick in June, and this is not an easy task.
