Just to add some perspective to the tablet shipment figures that we published yesterday for the first quarter of 2022.
By the preliminary tablet shipment figures from the IDC, we didn’t get to see precisely where Microsoft ranked.
But Strategy Analytics has another take on the preliminary tablet shipment numbers, and says that Microsoft ranked number five on the list, with 1.4 million tablets shipped, out of a total of 40.9 million tablets in Q1 2022.
If we include Huawei, that should rank Microsoft’s Surface tablets number six then, as the next tablet brands are unlikely be higher than 1.4 million, although some brands should be getting close.
