Samsung SM-T239 Galaxy Tab (5 7.0) Pictures Leak
One of the next 7-inch Android tablets from Samsung have had its pictures leaked thanks to the FCC filing.
This is the Samsung SM-T239 tablet that had already been benchmarked, even if we don't know yet if this will be a Samsung Galaxy Tab “5 7.0” or a new Galaxy Tab Lite, or some other kind of model. But looking at the specs, we notice that the specs are by and large identical to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, only that is has a 64-bit processor and a newer processor and GPU. The model number also fits the family range.
The pictures here are of Samsung SM-T239, and design wise it resembles the Tab 4 7.0 more than the Tab Lite. The Tab 4 line was launched in April last year, so it's 10-11 months old, but this is usually how many months it takes for Samsung to update their three tablets in the Galaxy Tab line, so the timing of the FCC filing indicates that the tablet is just around the corner from being launched.
The specs will include Android 5.0, a 7-inch screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and a entry level 8GB of storage, with a 1.2MP front camera and a 3MP rear camera. From the FCC filing we noticed that the Wi-Fi was SAR tested on both 2.4 GHz and 5+ GHz bands, so this tablet might have dual band Wi-Fi. At least it had a/b/g/n support.
As of the second last day of February, Samsung have not yet officially announced or released any new tablets in 2015, so the rest of the year should be packed with announcements of new Samsung tablets.
