The Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 10.1 is one of the three new TabPRO tablets in the new Samsung Galaxy TabPRO line, the other ones being the Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 12.2 and the Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 8.4. In addition the large new Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 will be released next week as well.
Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 10.1 meanwhile can be seen as an alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). They have near identical specs when we look at the Android 4.4 OS, the choice of Samsung octa-core processor or Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor depending on model/connectivity options, the formidable 2560 x 1600 screen resolution, the 9-hour battery life, the 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, or the Multi Windows multitasking ability.
But they do differ in that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) have 50% more RAM at 3GB, and the Note also have the integrated S Pen since it is a part of the Note line.
The difference otherwise lies in the bundle or package that is sold with each tablet. These packages may vary depending on where you buy them and in practical terms there is usually very little between them. Even the price is identical for both of these tablets now, starting at $499 for the 16GB version of either of them.
Personally I think the Galaxy Note launched in October last year is better value for money, but this depends on what you need the most.
