Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 And 10.5 Tipped For Android 6.0 Update In 2016
Samsung's previous Android flagship tablets, the Super-AMOLED tablets Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 have now both been tipped as eligible for an update to Android 6.0.
The claim was put forward by phonearena, who was purportedly tipped about the update of several Samsung Android phones and a few tablets as well, of which the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 were the newest two on the list.
So since info has not be published by Samsung yet, it is still unclear if these leaks or rumors are real or not.
The status of the two tablets varies though. The update status for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (SM-T805) is listed as “Approved” and that the Android 6.0 OTA rollout is estimated to around April 2016.

The update status for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (SM-T705) meanwhile, is listed as “Waiting Approval” with no further date provided. But if the large model gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow then the smaller one should get it too.
Since launch last year, the high-resolution Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablets have at least been upgraded from the Android 4.4 Kitkat it shipped with to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The succeeding Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablets were launched September 3.
