I found the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 to have an excellent premium design resembling the latest iPad Pro models. The metal construction and matte back finish felt nice, although the tablet may not be very durable. I liked the 11 inch 120Hz display with quad HD resolution and HDR support. However, the rear cameras were just decent as far as tablets go. Performance from the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset was fast with no issues handling multitasking, but the software experience was not as good. - Mark Spurrell |

I found the Galaxy Tab S7 still to be a solid tablet option in 2023 even though it originally launched in 2020. For the discounted price nowadays, you get great flagship-level build quality and specs including a bright 11-inch 1600p 120Hz display. Battery life has held up well also, lasting over 7 hours during my testing. Performance from the Snapdragon 865 chipset and 6/8GB RAM remains powerful enough for most tasks like gaming. - FishBee Productions |

I found the Galaxy Tab S7's design and display to still look great in 2023, with slim bezels on the 11-inch 120Hz 1600p panel. The included S Pen stylus and microSD expansion are also useful extras. Performance from the Snapdragon 865 chipset remains fast for most tasks like gaming. Downsides are the aging camera specs compared to newer tablets, although still decent overall. Battery life has likely degraded over time but remains large at 8000mAh. - Simple Alpaca |

In 2023, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 continues to stand as a compelling option, proving its resilience and offering a solid tablet experience. Launched back in August 2020, this device has aged gracefully and still holds its ground with premium build quality, impressive specs, and a price point that offers great value.
Design Stands Out
The Tab S7 sports a premium metal-and-glass design which resembles the iPad Pro. Its slim and sleek body with a matte finish looks and feels high-end. The 11-inch screen is surrounded by slim bezels for a modern aesthetic.
Vibrant Display
The vibrant 11-inch display makes visuals pop thanks to its crisp 1600p resolution and smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Support for HDR content boosts brightness and contrast for a more dynamic image compared to standard screens. This makes films and videos especially immersive.
Handy S Pen for Writing
The Tab S7 comes bundled with Samsung's S Pen stylus. We found writing and sketching on the screen with the S Pen very responsive thanks to its low latency. This accessory sets the Tab S7 apart from the iPad Pro which requires Apple Pencil purchase separately.
Fast Performance
Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 Plus chip, the tablet delivers speedy, smooth performance for games, media editing and more. It handles demanding multitasking well with no lag when, say, hopping between multiple apps.
Room for Improvement
The software experience falls a bit short though. Samsung's DeX mode for a desktop-like interface feels clumsy on a tablet this size. Many third-party apps also lack proper tablet optimization, stretching smartphone interfaces awkwardly across the big 11-inch canvas.
Battery Life and Charging
The 8000mAh battery has stood the test of time, offering over 7 hours of usage during testing. The 45W wired charging capability ensures quick top-ups when needed, contributing to the tablet's reliability in daily use.
The Galaxy Tab S7 remains a solid choice, especially considering its discounted price. The tablet's flagship-level build quality, impressive display, and enduring performance make it a worthwhile investment.
While it may lack some of the software support of the newer Tab S8 series, security updates are expected to continue for another year or so.
