The display is gorgeous with a high resolution and dynamic refresh rate up to 120Hz. The speakers sound decently loud and clear. But battery life has been very disappointing compared to my expectations and Microsoft's claims, barely lasting me a few hours of typical mixed use. - ThisIsE |

The most important accessory is Microsoft's own Signature keyboard, which attaches magnetically and nicely integrates the Slim Pen 2 stylus. The keyboard works very well and the pen is comfortable and accurate for drawing apps. And to supplement the built-in display I connect a sharp 4K Dell monitor that handles the Surface Pro 9 very smoothly. - My Next Tablet |

I have been testing the new Surface Pro 9 tablet with Intel i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage in the beautiful sapphire blue color. The lightweight and slim 2-in-1 design makes it great for travel and daily use. Battery life is around 12 hours for my typical usage. While an expensive device overall once you add the keyboard and stylus, the Surface Pro 9 still provides great versatility whether using it purely as a tablet, laptop, digital sketchpad, or anything in between. - EMKWAN REVIEWS |

Microsoft recently unveiled the latest iteration of its popular 2-in-1 tablet, the Surface Pro 9. Featuring an all-new slim design and fast Intel processors, this hybrid aims to be a laptop and tablet in one. But does it hit the mark? Our hands-on review reveals the highs and lows.
Sleek New Design Makes Surface Ultra-Portable
The Surface Pro 9 sports a newly minimized frame at just 9.3mm thick. Combined with its feathery 1.94 pound weight, this tablet offers easy mobility for users on-the-go.
The device also flaunts a clever kickstand and simple click-in keyboard for flexible use cases. Whether as a tablet, laptop or anything in between, the versatility is outstanding.
Display and Speakers Deliver Gorgeous Visuals
Visuals shine on the Surface Pro 9’s 13” touch display with ultra-crisp 2880×1920 resolution and smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
The screen produces vibrant colors and sharp clarity ideal for graphics work or streaming media. Immersive Dolby Atmos speakers complete the premium entertainment setup.
Serious Power for Work and Play
Outfitted with a zippy 12th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU, the Pro 9 supply serious processing muscle for intensive tasks.
Combined with the Windows 11 OS, 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD in our tested model, this 2-in-1 juggles apps with ease. Gamers will also appreciate the integrated Intel Iris graphics for casual play.
Battery Life Fails to Impress
The Surface Pro 9’s slim design comes at the cost of battery capacity. With average mixed use, our unit lasted just a few hours on a charge – a major shortcoming.
For an ultraportable device, buyers expect longer runtime before needing to plug in. This remains the Pro 9’s Achilles heel.
The Surface Pro 9 brings welcome tweaks like a slimmed down build and faster performance. But poor battery runtime and a towering price dim the overall appeal. Shoppers seeking an ultimate laptop-tablet hybrid may want to keep looking. While beautiful and versatile, the Pro 9 falls just short of nailing it.
