I found A10 processor makes it quite fast and should keep it running well for years. The display, while not as advanced as the iPad Pro's, works very well with the Apple Pencil for drawing. Apple has refreshed its entry-level 9.7-inch iPad for 2018, and the new model delivers strong performance and functionality.
The tablet retains the same durable, iconic design as previous generations, but upgrades to a zippy A10 Fusion processor.
Testing shows the speedy chip handles demanding apps and games smoothly. The iPad also outlasts Apple's 10-hour battery life estimate during video playback.
While the display is not cutting-edge like the iPad Pro's, it nicely complements the Apple Pencil. The screen reproduces the Pencil's strokes accurately for drawing and writing.
