Oppo Pad Air Announced

So the Oppo Pad Air was announced today, and will launch in 6 days from now, starting at 1299 Yuan in China, or about $200.

Now how much of an Air-like tablet is the Oppo Pad Air? Well, you be the judge.

This is a 10.4-inch (10.36 inches to be precise) Android tablet with a 2000 x 1200 resolution display with a 6.94mm thickness and a weight of 440 grams.

It's powered by a 2.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, with Adreno 610 GPU, and then options of either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM (2133 MHz), and 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. So good components for a tablet in this category then.

The screen has a 360 nits max brightness and 120Hz refresh rate, while the cameras are 5MP front and 8MP rear cameras.

And there's 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos on this tablet too. The battery is a 7100 mAh battery with 18W PD fast charge support.

Connectivity alternatives are dual-band Wi-Fi 5, BT 5.1, and a USB C 2.0 port.

Oppo Pad Air runs Android 12 with Oppo's ColorOS12.1 skin on top.

When it comes to accessories, it has its own keyboard cover as well as a 4096 pressure level sensitive digitizer.

So the Oppo Pad Air is a good tablet in this size and price range, and will be an interesting alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8.
