Oculus Dawn Tablet Benchmarked
Is Oculus working on a tablet? A VR tablet perhaps? Only Oculus knows, but I noticed that what was called a “Oculus Dawn prototype” benchmarked just a few hours ago, with a 6.9-inch screen.
The 6.9-inch screen has a display resolution of 1920 x 1080, and packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor together with its Qualcomm Adreno 530 GPU, as well as 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.
The prototype of Oculus Dawn ran Android 6.0.1 during testing.
It was listed with other hardware specs too, but such specs tend to be misleading indicators of the final hardware specs. But the main specs should be in place in the final product.
Unless this really is just a prototype for now, and Oculus have something even more powerful in store for us at some point.
