Kuu Lebook Pro – A $799 Windows Tablet With 8th Gen. i7-8550U CPU

Lately, a new tablet brand has been trying to get some Android and Windows tablets on the international market. This is the Kuu brand, and although they haven't launched anything stellar yet, we're initiating cover of the company in case they start to make something noteworthy.

They are launching a Windows 10 tablet they called Kuu Lebook Pro, which features an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage for just under $800.

That doesn't sound bad, but this is one of those strange new tablets with a really old processor, in this case an Intel Core i7-8550U. That's an 8th gen. Intel Core processor that I haven't seen on new Windows tablets since the 2017-2018 timeframe, like in the very memorable HP Zbook x2 from back then.

Of course, it's still an i7 processor with lots of storage and RAM, so it will still be a good tablet for work, but it will lack both features and the speed of todays processor with newer architecture.

Apart from the 2160 x 1440 resolution of the 12.6-inch screen, the other specs doesn't stand out either, as it has just Wi-Fi 5, BT 4.2, stereo speakers, a 5MP front camera and 8MP rear camera, a fingerprint reader, digitizer support, 2x USB C ports, and a very short battery life of just 4 hours.

So hopefully Kuu will pick up its game or there will be no reason to cover this brand in the future.
