IQOO Pad Launching – 12.1-Inch Android Tablet With MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ Processor

IQOO has unveiled its first tablet and will release the IQOO Pad on May 31.

The unveiling of the IQOO Pad has been somewhat muted, as it has fallen a little in the shadow of the unveiling of the Fire Max 11.

A second reason is that the IQOO Pad is almost the same tablet as the Vivo Pad 2, since Vivo is the company that owns IQOO.

But there are two differences. While the Vivo Pad 2 that was just launched is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, the IQOO Pad has an even higher performance Dimensity 9000+ processor.

And with that the price was bumped up by 100 Chinese Yuan too, or just under $15 for that performance boost.

So far the IQOO Pad will only launch in gray, while the Vivo Pad 2 also has some violet and blue options.

With both tablets being identical otherwise in all other areas, the main specs are a 12.1-inch LCD screen with 2000 x 1968 resolution, the 3.05 GHz octa-core Dimensity 9000+ processor, 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM options, and 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage options.

This is a thin and portable tablet that’s 6.59mm thick, while weighing 585 grams. It has the same optional keyboard and digitizer pen as the Vivo Pad 2, as well as the Android 13 UI OriginOS 3.

So performance wise this is a good tablet for just under $369, though it’s far from as powerful as some of the bestselling tablets people often consider in the 11- to 12-inch tablet space, like the iPad Air. Actually, even the iPad mini 6 is still around 15% more powerful on average.

But the IQOO Pad is still a good Android tablet. Now it remains to be seen how people will feel about two so similar tablets from the same parent company being on the market at the same time.
