Huawei MediaPad T2 8 Pro Wi-Fi Certified

The upcoming and still unofficial Huawei MediaPad T2 8 Pro has been Wi-Fi certified, just ahead of the IFA technology trade show in Berlin next week. So it looks like this tablet will be unveiled alongside the even more promising Huawei MediaPad M3 8.4.

Huawei MediaPad T2 8 Pro is an 8-inch Android tablet certified with dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi.

From previous FCC documents, it was claimed that at least the prototype of the tablet had an 8-inch screen with Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution, was powered by the 28 nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (MSM8939) (4 x A53 1.5 GHz+4 x A53 1.2 GHz) processor (same as in the 7-inch Pro version), and that it features a 2MP front camera, a 8MP rear camera, and a 4650 mah battery capacity.

Those specs makes it seem like a downgrade from the 7-inch version with its 13MP rear camera, but then again these specs are similar to the specs of the 10-inch MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro. So maybe it will feature a fingerprint reader too. All of Huawei's T1 and T2 Pro tablets are tablets with phone calling abilities and built-in 3G/4G LTE.
