Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro Launch In April
The 10.1-inch Full HD Android tablet Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro that leaked two months ago will be launched during the summer: http://www.gearbest.com/huawei-_gear/c_11999/
Despite the name, the screen size is still a traditional 10.1 inches to be exact. This is a Full HD screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution and 300 nits of brightness.
A definitive highlight is the octa-core processor, in this case, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (MSM8939 (4 x A53 1.5 GHz+4 x A53 1.2 GHz)), with 3GB of RAM or 2GB of RAM depending on the model. The 3GB RAM tablets are called Standard edition and Premium edition, and have the model number FDR-A03L. There are otherwise 16GB and 32GB storage options.
Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro runs Android 5.1 and Huawei's EMUI 3.1 user interface with additional apps and features.
This tablet generally has good specs all around, with built-in 4G-LTE, full dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, ambient light sensor, and gravity sensor. The battery capacity is 6660 mAh, so the general battery life might be around 9 hours long.
The cameras of the Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro are a 2MP fixed focus camera on the front, with a 8MP rear camera with autofocus and flash on the back of the tablet. Huawei is also going for their own new SWS 2.0 “super wide sound” audio technology for the two stereo speakers, which should be fun to try out.
The tablet is otherwise 8.5 mm thick, weighs 495 grams, and comes in the official colors pearl white, and charcoal black.
An alternative to this tablet for those who don't need the built-in 4G on every version of it, is the recently released Huawei MediaPad M2 10 with even better specifications. The 10.1-inch Full HD Android tablet with the best value for money is still the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70.
