Huawei MatePad SE 10.4-inch Kids Edition Launching Too
Wit the launch of the Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 2023 this week, Huawei has also launched a children's version of this tablet too.
This one is called the Huawei MatePad SE 10.4-inch Kids Edition but is a little cheaper as it comes with just 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. But it's still powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor and runs HarmonyOS 3.
The design looks really god for a kids tablet, as the rear kickstand, the grip of the case, and the stylus holder are all designed well.
But what I first noticed about it is that it's a tad heavy for a kids tablet, weighing 740 grams. That's what 13 inch tablets usually weigh.
Then again this is a relatively large tablet too for a kids tablet, featuring a 10.4-inch screen with a Full HD 2000 x 1200 resolution display, 2MP and 5MP front a nd rear cameras, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 5, and a 5100 mAh battery.
The 10.1-inch Fire HD 10 Kids has been the best selling kids tablet for the last two quarters now, so Huawei has picked the right size.
The MatePad SE 10.4-inch Kids Edition is also launching in Europe and other markets outside of China, over the course of spring.
Features includes charging Safe Charging mode where the tablet can't be used while charging for safety reasons, parental control features, recording features, posture alert and bumpy road alters, and 100+ educational and interactive games, and more content is available through a monthly subscription.
So Amazon may have the benefit in terms of content offers compared to this tablet. Of course, with HarmonyOS 3 users can download regular apps too.
