How to Easily Sign Out of Your Samsung Account on Phone and TV

However, there may come a time when you need to troubleshoot your device or change your Samsung account. In such cases, signing out of your Samsung account is the solution.
Let's explore how you can easily sign out of your Samsung account on your mobile phone and Samsung TV.
Signing Out of Samsung Account on Phone
There are two simple methods to sign out of your Samsung account on a mobile phone.
Method 1: From Samsung Account Settings
- Open the Settings on your Samsung Galaxy phone.
- Tap on the name of the Samsung account holder at the top.
- Scroll down and tap on Sign out.
- A screen will appear showing the services that will be affected. Tap on Sign out to confirm.
- Enter your Samsung account password when prompted, and you will be successfully logged out.
Please note that signing out of your Samsung account on your phone will result in the loss of access to services like Samsung Pay, Samsung Health, synced Samsung contacts, and the ability to download new apps from the Galaxy Store.
However, you will still be able to download apps from the Play Store as it is linked to your Google account.
Method 2: From Accounts Settings
If you have logged into your Samsung account on a phone other than a Samsung Galaxy phone, follow these steps to log out:
- Open the Settings on your Android phone.
- Tap on Accounts and backup, followed by Manage accounts.
- Tap on your Samsung account and press the Remove account button.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear. Tap on Remove account and enter your Samsung account password when prompted.
- Your Samsung account will be successfully removed from your phone.
Signing Out of Samsung Account on Samsung Smart TV
To log out of your Samsung account on your TV, follow these steps:
- Open the Settings on your Samsung TV.
- Go to General > System Manager.
- Select Samsung account.
- Choose the My Account button under your Samsung account.
- If you want to temporarily log out, select the Sign out option. If you want to remove or change the Samsung account from the TV, use the Remove account option.
- If you choose to remove the account, a confirmation screen will appear. Select Yes to proceed.
- Enter the password of your Samsung account to remove the account.
Please note that removing your Samsung account from your TV will not delete any downloaded apps. You can still continue using them. However, to update or install new apps, you will need to sign in to your Samsung account again.
Remotely Logging Out of Samsung Account
You can also remotely log out of your Samsung account from another device in two different ways. Both methods allow you to remove your Samsung account from all your devices.
Method 1: From Samsung Galaxy Phone
If you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, follow these steps to remotely log out of your Samsung account on another device:
- Open the Settings on your phone.
- Tap on the Samsung account holder's name at the top.
- Go to Devices.
- Here, you will see a list of devices where your Samsung account is logged in. Tap on the three-dot icon next to the device from which you want to log out and select Sign out or Remove.
Method 2: From Browser
If you don't have a Samsung Galaxy phone, you can still log out of your Samsung account using a browser on your PC or mobile:
- Open account.samsung.com/membership in a browser and sign in to your Samsung account.
- Scroll down and click on the Devices section, or select the Devices option from the top menu.
- You will see a list of devices where you are logged in with your Samsung account. Click on Sign out next to the device you want to log out from.
Signing Out of Samsung Account Without Password
If you can't remember your Samsung account password, you can reset and change it using the Forgot password feature. Once you have changed your password, you can remove your Samsung account using the new password. Follow these steps:
- Open account.samsung.com in a browser.
- Click on the Sign in button.
- Enter the email ID or phone number associated with your Samsung account and click on Next. If you don't know the registered email, you can find it in the Settings on your Samsung Galaxy phone.
- Click on Forgot password.
- Click on Reset password and follow the instructions in the email you receive.
- After changing your password, use any of the previously mentioned methods to log out from your Samsung account on your mobile or TV.
