A Smarter Way to Download Apps from Google Play Store
With millions of apps available on the Google Play Store and thousands more being added every day, it's tempting to try out new apps regularly. However, the Play Store is notorious for its promotional ads that can be quite annoying. But fear not, there's a simple way to bypass these ads and download apps hassle-free.
Avoiding Google Play Store Ads
The key to avoiding ads on the Google Play Store is to not use it at all. Instead, you can still accomplish your tasks by following this 2-step process.
Step 1: Updating Installed Apps
To update your installed apps, you usually have to navigate through the Play Store and encounter numerous ads along the way. However, there's a quicker way to update your apps using App Shortcuts.
By long-pressing the Play Store icon on your homescreen, a new popup will appear with a “My Apps” quick shortcut. Tapping on this shortcut will take you directly to the My Apps & Games section, where you can update all your apps at once.
To make things even easier, you can create a shortcut on your homescreen by tapping and holding the My Apps shortcut and dragging it to your homescreen. This way, you can access the My Apps section directly without going through the Play Store.
Step 2: Searching Apps on Google
The search functionality on the Play Store can be quite messy, making it difficult to find the right app. Instead, you can use the Google search widget, which often provides better search results.
If you already have the Google search widget on your homescreen, you're good to go. If not, you can easily add it by long-pressing on an empty part of your homescreen, tapping on the “Widgets” icon, and searching for “Google” in the widget page. Once you have the Google widget, simply tap and hold it, then drop it onto your screen.
Now, whenever you need to search for an app on the Play Store, use the Google search widget instead of the Play Store search. For example, if you want to download the “Acture” app, simply type “Acture Android app” on the Google search widget. It will take you to the Google app and display the search results for Acture. From there, you can easily install the app without visiting the Play Store.
The Google app is smart enough to show if the searched app is already installed on your device or if it has an update available.
By following these steps, you can bypass the ads on the Google Play Store and download apps more efficiently.
