Samsung announced their new and much upgraded flagship monitor today, with the announcement of the Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor G95SC.

This is the largest monitor in the G9 gaming monitor series, as well as the best equipped, with other monitors also announced today includes the G93SC and the 34-inch G85SB.
It also doubles as a Smart TV, an IoT, a Gaming Hub, or a large curved monitor with OLED screen for regular computer work. I was very enthusiastic about the first large curved monitors from Samsung when they launched many years ago, but they all had one or two issues during the first years, which left a few things to be desired.
Fortunately those issues are gone with the latest large curved Samsung monitors, and the new OLED screen series of Odyssey OLED G9 gives Samsung a one-up against its rivals in this space too.
The flagship model is the 49-inch Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SC) which has a resolution of 5120 x 1440, with a 240 Hz refresh rate, and a staggering 0.03ms response time from the Quantum Dot technology.
The screen has a Vesa certified DisplayHDR True Black 400, and syncs with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA Adaptive Sync.
Features includes a remote control, Alexa and Bixby voice controls, automatic source detection when something new is plugged in, 5W stereo speakers, and the ports DP 1.4, HDMI 2.1, micro-HDMI 2.1, and a USB hub.

It's a lot thinner than the earliest large curved monitors too, and actually looks good now, so the silver metal monitor can stand in the middle of a room and it would look pretty cool. It also has tilt and height adjust, which some of the earliest models lacked.
Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SC) will be released on June 26, and those who pre-order it through Amazon get a $250 Amazon gift card.
