Finally A Believable Xiaomi MiPad 3 Leak/Rumor?

New purported Xiaomi tablet rumors tend to come out every 3 weeks without any substance to them, which is why we generally ignore those. But now there are a few indications that Xiaomi may just possibly be in the process of launching a new Xiaomi MiPad, perhaps even called Xiaomi MiPad 3 and MiPad 3 Pro.

(UPDATED: The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 was indeed unveiled on April 5, 2017)

One of the indications are what could be the purported image leak of the back cover of a new Xiaomi tablet, leaked on a Weibo account a short time ago. The back covers or casings for the tablets, appear to be aluminum/metal bodies seen in gold, silver, and red. The image should be from the design stage, so it's impossible from the image alone to make out how far Xiaomi has come in the production of a purported new Xiaomi tablet.

The rumors says that a new 7.9-inch Android version will have up to 4GB of RAM, be powered by a MediaTek MT8176 processor and cost from 1299 Yuan, while a 9.7-inch Pro version with Windows will be powered by an Intel Atom x7-Z8750 processor and cost from 1699 Yuan.

Another indication of Xiaomi being in the process of launching a new tablet is what I've noticed to be an intensification of sales on Xiaomi MiPad 2's, which are two separate 7.9-inch tablets that was produced with a choice of either Windows 10, or Android with a Xiaomi MIUI user interface. The recent intensity of these sales could indicate a clearout sale.

On the other hand, the sales may also indicate nothing else than the fact that these two tablets have been on the market for 1 1/2 years. The Xiaomi MiPad 2 was unveiled on November 24th, 2015, but it's still a very good tablet, with good specs and high build quality.
