Android 6.0 Marshmallow For Sony Tablets Rolls Out From March 7

Sony UK announced yesterday through their Twitter account Sony Xperia GB that the previously announced Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Sony Xperia tablets will begin on March 7th.

Sony is actually consistently among the first manufacturers to update their Android tablets to the latest version of Android, even if it takes a little while. But they do update, and for many years as well.

All Sony Xperia Z tablets currently run Android 5.1, but starting on March 7th, the update will begin for the Z4 Tablet in the UK at least, but other countries might be ahead.

Sony hade previously announced the Android 6.0 update, they just hadn't made the OTA update date clear, since the OS update was undergoing testing.

The first three tablets that Sony have previously announced eligible for an Android 6.0 update, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2 Tablet.
