There's a shortage of 8-inch Android 8.0 tablets on the market, so that itself makes it worth a look. But it remains to be seen what the launch price will be, as that will be one of the keys to its success in the market, as the Chuwi Hi8 SE is up against tablet like New Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, Huawei MediaPad M5 8.4, and even the company's own Chuwi Hi9 Pro.
And the hardware is not the most powerful. It's powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8735 processor, with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.
Chuwi Hi8 SE features an 8-inch screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution though, and it has dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi cover, and GPS.
Remaining specs includs a 2MP front camera, 5MP rear camera, a 4000 mAh battery, micro-USB port, 3.5mm audio jack, and microSD card support up to 128GB.
The weight is also high for an 8-inch tablet, at 400 gram, with a thickness of 9.5mm.
