Over the last two days the 2013 model Nexus 7 FHD have been listed as out of inventory on Google Play in the US and a few other major markets.
For some of the bestselling tablets, this has often proven to be a reliable indicator of a company being just a short time away from announcing a new version of that tablet, they just want to clear out inventory first.
However, it’s too early to say if this is indeed the case with the Nexus 7 FHD, but it should be taken into account that the 2013 version of Nexus 7 FHD is over a year old now, after it was first released in the US in July 2013. And 12 months production is a long life for a tablet.
But even if a new Google tablet is on its way, leaks and rumors for a new Nexus tablet have been unusually unreliable so far. So trying to predict what will actually constitute the next Google tablet is a wait and see game at this point.
