Xiaomi’s first new tablets in years were unveiled today as the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro, and they will start taking orders from tomorrow of, on August 11:

Both of these tablets are 11-inch tablet computers between the upper mid-range and high-end of the tablet market, running the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 features an 11-inch 2560 x 1600 resolution display at 120 Hz refresh rate, with HDR10 support, True Tone, Dolby Vision, and Sunshine Screen 2.0.

It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor, with options of 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In addition to that, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 features a 8720 mAh battery with a 33W charger, a 13MP rear camera with 4K video recording, an 8MP front camera, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 5, BT 5.0, and a USB C port.
It also has pogo pins for hooking up to the optional keyboard cover, and 4096 pressure sensitive digitizer pen support at 240 Hz, with magnetic charging for the optional pen.
Other features includes a fingerprint reader on the power button, as well as a facial recognition camera.
The colors options are black/grey, white/silver, and green, with matching colors for the keyboard covers. Mi Pad 5 weighs 511 grams, and has a thickness of 6.85mm.
It will launch on August 16, with the price starting at 1999 Yuan, or approximately 309 USD.
And if that wasn’t enough, there’s the Pro version of this tablet with even higher specs.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro features a 8600 mAh battery with a 67W charger, and a 50MP rear camera on the 5G version which is breaking a new record on tablet cameras. Otherwise a 13MP rear camera with 4K video recording + an additional 5MP camera, an 8MP front camera, octa speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6, BT 5.0, and a USB C port.
It too has pogo pins for connecting it to the optional keyboard cover, and 4096 pressure sensitive digitizer pen support at 240 Hz, with magnetic charging for it.

Xiaomi Mi Pad Pro
The colors are black, but also white for the 5G version, still with matching colors for the keyboard covers. Mi Pad 5 Pro weighs 515 grams (518 gram with 5G), and has a thickness of 6.86mm.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro will launch on August 16, with the price starting at 2499 Yuan, or approximately 385 USD.
