10.4-Inch Budget Tablet Teclast T40 Air Launching August 21

Teclast will launch a new tablet in the budget range on August 21, called Teclast T40 Air. This is a 10.4-inch Android 13 tablet that will premiere on AliExpress.

The premiere price will be $135, but it remains to be seen for how long. But at least it offers good bang for the bucks at that launch price.

The 10.4-inch screen naturally has a Full HD 2000 x 1200 resolution display with 350 nits brightness. While it's powered by the octa-core Unisoc T616 processor running at 2.0 GHz, with 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and as much as 256GB of storage. There's also a microSD slot for memory cards up to 1TB.

It even has quad speakers. The Teclast tablets from 10 to 5 years ago had some speakers that left a lot to be desired when compared to an iPad, but the Teclast speakers these days, with the Sweet 4 technology has improved a lot.

The cameras could be good too, and have a resolution of 8MP on the front with face unlocking, and 13MP on the back of the tablet, together with a LED flash and a secondary AI camera for improving the outcome of the photos.

Battery life is 7.5 hours long, based upon the 7200 mAh battery with 18W PD fast charge support. So that could have been longer, but I guess we can't complain too much considering the price.

What else has it got? Well We also get Wi-Fi 5, BT 5.0, 4G VoLTE, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, gyroscope, gravity sensor, light sensor, proximity sensor, hall sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB-C port.

The tablet is 7.5mm thick and weighs 460 grams, so it's pretty portable, though it's not breaking any records, despite the Air moniker. But then again, this is a budget tablet.
