Surface Laptop 4 Unveiling Suggested For April 13 – Benchmarked With AMD Ryzen 7

South Korean technology leaker FrontTron says that the next Microsoft Surface even will be held on April 13. Incidentally, this may be the same day that Apple is supposed to make their 2021 iPad Pro announcement too. So let's see how those dates will clash.

What's currently expected from the first Surface event of 2021 are the new Surface Laptop 4 laptops in various sizes. The placeholder for the firmware on Microsoft.com was already published by WalkingCat, and as you can see just from the partial screencap of that page, the name Surface Laptop 4 was repeated frequently, before Microsoft took that page down.

At least one of the processor options for the new Surface Laptop 4 appears to have leaked, as a Microsoft Corporation Surface Laptop 4 was benchmarked yet again last week, this time on Geekbench 4, where it ran up benchmark scores of 4696 in single-core, and 23755 in multi-core scores.

This Surface Laptop 4 was benchmarked yet again with an octa-core 2.0 GHz – 4.26 GHz AMD Ryzen 7 3780U Microsoft Surface Edition processor, with 16GB of DDR4 SDRAM at 2091MHz, running Windows 10 Home edition.

But the FCC approvals for the Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth radiation on the Surface Laptop 4 also keep ticking in, with the new model numbers 1950, 1951, 1958, 1959 and more, so we know there are a few model variations of the SL4 coming soon.
