Sanyo TAB-A01 Tablet First Leak
An as of yet unofficial Sanyo tablet have been spotted on the Wi-Fi alliance's website after the tablet was certified there.
Certified with the model name Sanyo TAB-A01-SD, the Wi-Fi certification doesn't give away too much in terms of specs, other than the single-band 2.4 GHz and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi bands it was certified with, in addition to the Android 4.4 it was running.
Based on that, it's no jaw dropper. To figure out more about this tablet, we have to consider that Sanyo is a subsidiary of Panasonic, and that the model name clearly indicates that it's in family with the Panasonic TAB-A02-SD that we wrote about earlier today – A 10.1-inch Android 5.0 tablet with HD resolution and similar lower mid-range specs.
We'll find out more soon, but for now it looks like these two companies have built a tablet where the Panasonic tablet will be the premium model of the two.
